The short version: Hero Playbooks has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no ads and no cookies. We don't collect personal information about visitors.
What we collect
Only anonymous, combined visit numbers. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see things like how many visits each page gets, which sites link here, rough device and browser types, and how fast pages load. Cloudflare says this tool doesn't use cookies or other browser storage and doesn't fingerprint or follow individual visitors. We only ever see totals, never who you are.
What stays in your browser
If you star a hero or open hero pages, your Favorites and Recently viewed lists are saved in your own browser's local storage (heroplaybooks.favorites.v1 and heroplaybooks.recent.v1). They never leave your device and we can't see them. To clear them, clear the site data for heroplaybooks.com in your browser settings.
Services this site uses
- Cloudflare (hosting and analytics). The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles each request, including your IP address, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Fonts. The site's fonts (Inter and JetBrains Mono) load from Google's font servers. As with any font request, Google receives your IP address and basic browser details. See Google's privacy policy.
That's the full list. Hero portraits and icons are served from this site, not loaded from Blizzard or anyone else.
If you email us
Mail to [email protected] is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our team inbox. We see your email address and what you write, and we use it only to read your feedback and reply. We don't sell or share it, and we don't add you to any mailing list.
No accounts, no ads, no cookies
There's nothing to sign up for, no advertising and no ad or tracking networks, and the site doesn't set cookies. We don't sell data of any kind.
Links to other sites
Pages link out to our X account (@HeroPlaybooks), Blizzard, and the guides and stats sites we cite. Nothing from those sites is embedded here. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy policy applies.
Children
Hero Playbooks isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If a child has emailed us, a parent or guardian can write to us and we'll delete the message.
Changes
If anything here changes, for example a new service, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
